Gospel Musicians/ Music Ministers making financial demands - Asu Ekiye

Image
The issue of Gospel Musicians/ Music Ministers making financial demands to sing in churches or to sing for God so to speak, has been a very sensitive topic in the hearts, minds and lips of several people both in and out of the Church for many years now. It has not just been an object of debate, but has also attracted unfathomable excoriation and sometimes outright disdain from those who feel the act stems from an opportunistic slant and a debased form of mercantile methods to ask to be paid as a Gospel Singer. I was once invited by a government agency years back and I asked them to pay me the sum of three (3) million naira (only) to perform, mark the word I used, "perform" and the head of the agency who is a deacon in a popular Pentecostal church asked me a very shocking question that still bothers me till date. He said, "Three million naira??? To sing for a God who gave you this gift free of charge?" I quickly interjected and said, "Sir!

Image
In case you’ve been living under a rock, your sneakers are meant for more than just the gym these days. Though they got their start as flimsy “plimsolls” meant for working-class holidaymakers and purpose-built footwear designed for athletes, sneakers have become a staple in a every man’s (and woman’s, for that matter) wardrobe. From lifestyle to red carpet to sports, nowadays your sneakers can be an expression of yourself. And today we’re showing you how to do it right. No matter what kind of sneakers you settle on, there are a few basic principles for how to wear sneakers. Always: Buy sneakers that suit your current wardrobe: What good does it do to buy the latest ‘hype’ style if it doesn’t suit your style? Don’t hop on the trend train just because it’s passing through. Choose shoes that complement what you already have, not shoes that require you to repurchase your entire wardrobe. We’re looking at you Yeezy lovers. Wear them to the right occasions (don’t go too casual): S

Health Benefits of Apricots

Image
An apricot (Prunus armeniaca) is a bright orange stonefruit that resembles peaches and plums. They have a soft, tangy flesh beneath a thin outer skin. Although the apricot is native to a continental climate region with cold winters, it can grow in Mediterranean climates as well. Here are the some health benefits of the apricot: 1. Apricots can help fight constipation: Fiber can help prevent constipation by promoting regularity when taken with water. The daily recommended dietary fiber intake for men and women are 38 grams and 25 grams, respectively. 2. Apricots are great for improving your bone health: Apricots contain trace amounts of the following minerals to improve bone health: calcium, phosphorus, manganese, iron, and copper.   Acerola cherry is a plant that is native to tropical regions of the Western Hemisphere. Traditional uses include treatment for liver ailments, diarrhea, dysentery, coughs, and colds. Recently, there has been interest in using acerola’s vitamin C content as a supplement. There are many health and wellness claims made about this supplement, but not all have research to back them up. Why do people take acerola cherry?
